JELLY- SKELTON, Mona (nee Hunter) – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Mona, peacefully at Extendicare Mapleview on Monday, September 30, 2013 at the age of 74. Beloved wife of the late Ron Skelton (1997), and William Jelly (2010). Loving mother of Cathy Burton (Tim) and Cameron MacDonald. Devoted Nana of Tanner, Jarrett, and Kelsey. Predeceased by her parents Norman and Sylvia Hunter, her sister Lenore Fachnie, and brother Jimmy Hunter. Sister-in-law of Bill Skelton (Susan). Special aunt of Dennis Fachnie, Dan Skelton (Linda) and Jeff Skelton. Great aunt and Godmother of Sarah Shonk (Jon), and great aunt of James and Jordan Skelton. She will be sadly missed by her cousin Bob Hunter (Jean), The Gamblin Grandmas, and her close friends at Collegiate Heights. Her quiet strength and love for family and friends will be remembered always. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home on Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 6-9 pm. Funeral service from the chapel on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 3 pm. Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Interment in Trinity United Church Cemetery, Collingwood, Ontario.
