Mary Christine Wright

WRIGHT, Mary Christine (October 20, 1947 – September 24, 2010) – Efficient, loyal, dedicated and hard working Administrative Assistant to Anglican Bishops of Algoma (Bishop Ron and Les) and for the clergy and lay members of the Diocese of Algoma. Companion, friend, partner, bow paddle, mentor, lover and wife of Edward Allan Wright. Proud and loving mother of Robert Allan Wright (ToniLyn Robinson) and Meghan Anne Wright (Charles Ingoldsby). Caring grandmother of Jordan Allan Robinson Wright. Loving daughter of the late Robert John Thistle and Mary Armitage Copus. Godmother of Tom Shouldice (Beth) and Emily Matijevic (Brent). Good friend of Bob and Karen Shouldice, Sharon DeCiccio (Rob) and to many others in her clergy family. Devoted pet owner to Grady, Mhicy, Kylie, Kenzie, Skye, Reid, Tigger, Phantom and her grand dog Moosey Man. The family members express their sincere gratitude to the professional care given to Christine over her courageous 5 month health battle at the Sault Area Hospital and at home. Especially important were doctors Bignell, Mossing, Allen, Wilson, Mills and several loving and caring nurses including Debbie, Erica, Rhonda, Terri, Avy and the LSSU nursing students. A memorial service will be held at St. Luke’s Cathedral on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 1:30 pm. The Very Rev. Nelson Small officiating and assisted by Rev. Bob Elkin and Mr. Henry Gaines. A reception to follow in the church hall. Interment St. Luke’s Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the following: Sault Area Hospital, Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF), Golden Retriever Rescue, Friends of Lake Superior Provincial Park (Niijkiwenhwag) or any other charity of choice in Christine’s name.
