You fought with a Lions heart but Honey you were too tired.
It is with immense heartache that we announce the passing of Mark Lewis McKey. Life will never be the same for Lorrie (Boyer), his wife of 44 years. He was a phenomenal father of Michelle (Wes) and Ken (Amber). He adored his mother, Dolores MacIntyre (late Ken) and his brother Fred. Predeceased by in-laws John and Bunny Boyer, grandparents Angelina and Aurileo Desanti and Margaret and Harry Robinson. Brother-in-law of Debby (Kevin), Phil (Robin) and Michelle. Best buddy his fur baby Hemi.
Mark was a remarkable man who never turned down a challenge, a master of all trades and could fix anything even if you didn’t want him too!!!
Mark would do anything for his mom and they would spend many nights out for dinners and visit the casino.
He was so proud of his son Kenny. He always had a smile when he mentioned how proud he was of him and what a good man and father he became. He loved you very much.
No one could lift his spirits like his grandchildren. Rayne was his special girl. Too many times there was laughter and giggles when they were getting into trouble. Madden was Nonnos entertainer with funny faces, dance moves and pranks. He marveled at Haydens hockey skills and watching him grow into a fine young man. Ayva was full of imagination and he never knew what she was going to do next. He never really got to see Austin as much as he wanted but was very proud of him.
Mark knew how lucky he was to have great friends. Denis was his confidant and brother from another mother and Anne was his card shark partner who meant the world to him. Our point family Dom and Brenda, Jill and Clint, Brenda and Marvin, Peter and Linda and Wendy and Steve helped us prove that we have the best neighbours anyone could wish for. Mitch, Louis and Glenn never forgot to check up on him. Donna and Lyle were always here for us and Aunt Cheryle and Uncle Paul always spoiled him.
Mark wants everyone to know he was blessed and had no regrets!!!
Dr. Rossouli, Jennifer and Kasha thank you. The cancer clinic are an amazing group of people.
A Celebration of Life will be held next summer when family can all be together and maybe have a drink or two. It would make Mark smile if you donate to our Local Downs Syndrome Society or The Humane Society. Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the McKey family.
I Love You More Maggoo!!!
