DUGAS, Linda (DOVIGI) - Born Linda Ann Dovigi January 15, 1965 to William guido and Theresa (nee Roberts) Dovigi. The youngest of their 5 children. She met the love of her life Andre Dugas (son of Gaetan and Beatrice Dugas) at the age of 15. Linda and Andre fell instantly in love, married 7 years later and were a true love story. They went on to have their daughter Carly a few years later and then moved to Sudbury to live their life as a family. Linda was diagnosed with MS in 2007, a crippling horrible disease that she endured with the dignity and strength given to her by her father. With acceptance she never complained of her disease, with the sweetness given to her by her angel of a mother Theresa.
Linda leaves behind her siblings on both sides that adored her and cherished her strength and goodness beyond anything on this earth. We are grateful to have had her for as long as we did. Linda is an angel that this earth had and is now an angel in heaven watching over her family and friends. Linda had an impact on so many lives. She had such a positive influence on all that met her and fell in love with her. What would become her second family were all the friends she made at Mapleview that were there to care for her but she ended up caring for them. Heidi, Christie and so many many more. Thank God for all of you. You are hired to care for people but you were her every day family more than we could ever be. Thank you does not come close to how you all became her family. Alana again her closest confidant and best friend, thank you just does not express our gratitude. Linda met Owen at Mapleview and fell instantly in love with her newest caregiver. She introduced her daughter and future son in law and just like her mother, Carly was in love. They gave Linda her biggest gift in life her grandchild Cain, along with the peace of knowing her daughter was happy.
Her friends that kept her in your hearts, Rhonda you never left her and always made her laugh, thank you is not enough to say. Susan you always visited when you were in town. She loved you both and all her friends from her past. Thank you also to those that took the time to visit Linda or keep her in your thoughts throughout her illness.
Linda loves and loved her husband Andre and daughter Carly beyond any of her own being. May she now rest in peace and in the arms of her parents until she meets up with the love of her life Andre in the next world. May we all remember her as an inspiration of strength and kindness that she bestowed on all that crossed her path. You are a true angel.
