Lexi, although I never got to meet you I was able to see how loved you were through pictures.  You were always wearing the cutest outfits and most adorable headbands that always made my newsfeeds a little better. One of my favorite pictures of you was when Uncle Rennie held you in his arms while you both were sleeping.  I wish I could have experienced that in person but I'm thankful that moments like that were captured. Love you.

Little Lexi--you were with us for such a short time, but you had an enormous impact on everyone you met. Your smile would light up a room....it certainly lit up our backyard every time you were in it. Holding you was the best part of any visit--unless Chris and LauraLee were there.....then your Mom knew she just had to hand you over so that they  could love on you as much as the rest of us did.  
To this day, Colin still swears that you were the cutest lobster that ever came to visit us. And he wasn't allergic to you!!
Thank you for letting me be your babysitter--we had a great night together when your Mom and Dad went out.  You gave me a crash course on Baby Einstein,  which you loved, and I figured out you liked watching HGTV too---you really were just pretending to be asleep so you could watch some extra TV with me!
Little Lexi.....you left a hole in so many hearts, but being blessed with knowing you and having you in our lives was a gift.  Thank you for everything you taught us about being strong and not giving up.  You brought so much love and joy to all of us--for this we thank you. Thank you for being you, beautiful Lexi. 
You will always have a special place in our hearts--we will never forget you, and can't wait to hear so many more stories about you from your Mom and Dad and Tucker (he just tells his stories in a different way!)

Hey bella,  It's Janice and Joe and we want to thank your mom and dad for giving us the pleasure of meeting you.  You opened our eyes to a whole new world of SMA, a new level of  strength, courage, and never giving up! We will always remember your spirit while raising a glass of Rumchata.  Love you tons.

The day you told us you were expecting I couldn't hold back my shriek of excitement another little best friend we can start to share our life with. Lexi did not disappoint in the least holding our attention from the beginning and teaching us so many things we will soon use on our own. She taught me the importance of diaper changing and how to accomplish it without any messes, which I had to learn the hard way. I am glad my couch is scotch guarded. Lexi taught us the power of a child's flatulence which quite honestly impressed both Brad and I. She taught me the right way to check to see if a baby is cold, behind the neck. As I learned her little toes and hands will always be somewhat cold. Lexi showed me the importance of the right headband choice as she was always sporting the matching bow to complete her outfit even if Dad did say they were too tight for her. Lexi was the first baby to give Brad the confidence to walk around with rather than cradled securely on the couch. Lexi showed me how much love one small little human being can bring into the world. No matter how short of a time she had with us we were so honored to be able to share in each moment of her life.

Lexi was like a niece to us. When we first met Lexi we didn't waste anytime warning her about boys, we taught her all about kicking them in the you know whats. She laughed but we knew she was listening and definitely taking mental notes. We were so happy to have met her on her first trip to sault ste marie. Everyone and everything seemed to fascinate her. Seeing the way luke and Whitney looked after her and cared for her was amazing too. Lexi seemed to bring out the best in people. Lexi you will always be loved and you will always be in our hearts.

Lil peanut, how your spit used to make me squeamish and queasy, but how it put a smirk on my face. I can still see your smile in my head and heart whenever I feel down and need a smirk put back on my face. You were not here for long, sadly, but long enough to touch the hearts of so many. Lexi, We have your picture on the fridge and on the fireplace mantel so we can see you every day. 
Although we only had the chance to see you a few times, you filled our hearts with so many precious and very special memories. When you visited in November we all had such a wonderful time taking turns holding you, playing with you and talking to you. We will never forget that special gift of being with us. 
I was able to hold you in my arms when we went to visit you on New Year's Day. That precious memory will be in my heart forever.

I was so excited to meet Lexi during her September visit to the Sault and she definitely didn't disappoint! I remember thinking how beautiful and observant she was. What struck me the most was how amazing Whitney and Luke were adapting to their new role as parents. I loved how protective Luke was when she cried and I'll never forget the look of love in Whitney's eyes. I will forever cherish our time together. Lexi will always be in my heart and thoughts.

Lexi you were so so loved by your amazing parents Whitney and Luke who I am lucky enough to call some of my best friends. I think of Lexi every time Adam watches baseball and remember Whitney laughing about how Lexi loved watching the colour green on the TV and got upset when someone changed the channel on her. I remember the strength and joy Lexi showed the last time I saw her. Despite the circumstances she still gave me lots of smiles once she determined I was not another doctor there to poke and prod her. I can picture Lexi sleeping on the bed at the hospital sleeping so peacefully as I sat beside her. I think about Lexi when I look at Peyton and picture the beautiful little girl I know she would have been. We are all so honoured to have been a part of her amazing little life and continued to be humbled by the strength of your entire family. We love you all so much. Xoxo

There have been very few things in my life that have brought me great joy and rapture.  The day you were born was one of those days, and when I finally got to meet you, you took my breath away.  The way you smiled made my soul beam with pleasure and when you cried, I cried too.  The day your Dad called us and gave us the news that your life may be cut short, it felt like someone had tore a hole in my heart.  There are very few things in this world that can hurt me, but losing you is like someone has taken away the very air I breath.  There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you.  Some days the thought of your smile makes me happy and at easy, but it is short lived because I then think of how I can never see your smile anymore, or your beautiful face.  You are now, and will always be, my perfect little angel.  I will love you forever, like you for always, as long as I'm living my granddaughter you'll be.

Despite her young age Lexi had quite the social calendar. She attended a bachelorette party, a wedding shower, a wedding and was even our first overnight house guest in our new home. At each of those events she was the highlight for me and certainly the most popular guest. I will always cherish the memories I have of Lexi (and Whit and Luke) being such a big part of key moments in our lives. We think of her all the time and feel so fortunate to have met such a bright, beautiful girl that brought so much joy. We love the three of you so much.

Paul and I were so excited to meet Lexi last summer when you brought her home to meet everyone. Right away I noticed how observant Lexi was and how happy she was just to be around everyone and take it all in. It was wonderful to see how much love and pride you and Luke shared for her. We are thinking of you often.

Lexi you will be the ONE who took my heart by surprise. Loving so completely you are perfection in my eyes. Nothing could compare to the first time I held you tight.
