JOHNS, Karen - Suddenly, on Saturday May 4, 2024, Karen passed away in the company of her best friend and love of her life Kevin Johns.
Predeceased by her loving mother Joan Macdougall, and father and mother in-law Ken and Elsie Johns. She will be missed beyond words by her loving daughters Elizabeth Lacelle (Ken) and Rhiannon Johns (Zach), her sister Ellen MacDougall (Jenny) and her father Doug MacDougall (Ann). She will be deeply missed by her two beloved granddaughters Elianna and Coralynn.
Karen touched many lives and will be missed by a long list of loving friends and family members, including Mary-lou Pickard who was not only her aunt, but also a very close friend.
Anyone who knew her, knows she has battled many health problems for a very long time, but did not let it define her life. She was a kind, gentle soul who loved her family beyond measure, and loved nature and animals more than anything. We will remember her by talking about all the things she said and did to make us laugh and drive us crazy. She couldn't wait to spend each summer on Batchawana Bay, spending her days on the beach collecting rocks and eagle feathers, and spending her nights around the fire looking at the moon. We will miss her being here with us but will carry her in our hearts for always.
