TREADWELL, Janyce Georgina (Nee Friday).. It is with profound sadness that the family of Janyce Georgina Treadwell announce her peaceful passing on Friday, December 20th, 2024, at the age of 80 years. Janyce was born in Brighton, England on February 23, 1944, to the late Ethel and Albert Friday.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Robin (Cathleen) Treadwell, Russell (Ninne) Treadwell, Janina (Daniel) Cedolia, and Melanie (Tom) Hyde; grandchildren: Micheal (Trisha) Treadwell, Scott (Kayla) Treadwell, Olivia (Jacob) McLean, Raelene (Wade) Hyde, Jacob (JoHannah) Cedolia and Samantha (AJ) Hyde; great grandchildren: Madison, Briley, Zayah, Alden, Oliver, Miah, and Jaxxon; brother, Robin Friday, and sister Beryl Smith as well as special friends: Sue and Jim Craig, Richard and Angela Dunkley, Rae and June Campbell, Veta and Claudette Witkowski, Yvonne and Blaine Racette, and numerous others, as Janyce touched so many hearts.
Janyce’s faith has now become sight, as she is beholding FACE to FACE her Lord and Saviour who she worshipped and adored. Janyce lived a life of service to God, her church, and her community and leaves behind a legacy of genuine compassion, love and deep caring for so many. Janyce was our wise and much-loved matriarch, and held her British heritage dear to her heart, always enjoying a spot of tea and a taste of trifle. Janyce enjoyed time with family and friends and kept herself busy with knitting, jigsaw puzzles, reading and playing scrabble.
Special thanks to the community Paramedics program, especially Kara who she titled “her Angel”, and to Care Partners. The family also wishes to send a special thanks to the staff and volunteers at ARCH for their care and compassion and fellow Brit Gerry Fowler for his visits and support.
Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service at Bethel Bible Chapel (686 Black Road) on Friday, December 27 at 11 am, Pastor Len Peake officiating. Memorial contributions made payable online or by cheque to ARCH would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Treadwell family.
