I did not know Sandra well, sorry to say, yet I am all too familiar with the tremendous grief her family and friends are feeling, especially this day.  My profound condolences to you all.

I had the pleasure of being one of Sandra’s close friends throughout high school. I will always remember her coming over with white chocolate fraps from Starbucks to my house to help me with my math. Even though she already had so much on her plate with her chronic illness she somehow found time to help me regularly.  I have so many fond memories of Sandra.  Recently, I was so lucky to reconnect with Sandra and meet her miracle baby.  Thank you Sandra for blessing everyone you knew with your positive attitude and joy. You will be greatly missed.❤️❤️

Sandra was such a special young girl and grew into a remarkable young woman.  I remember so many happy, carefree times she spent as a constant friend and companion to our daughter Jordan - the giggles, the sleepovers, the trips to the lake. I also had the opportunity to  become reacquainted with Sandra through my work in the health field.  I watched her battle through and overcome many challenges and obstacles with perseverance and dignity.  I am greatly saddened that Sandra has passed from this world and I know that she would have done all that she could to remain with those that she loved so dearly. I hope that her family and friends can take comfort in one another and know that, although her life in years was short, the impact in her lifetime was remarkable and will remain as a legacy for all those that were a part of her journey. I always knew Sandra as a woman that not a soul could speak poorly of, someone who was truly benevolent. Her positive energy that touched so many, even in the face of chronic illness, is what I will always remember her for. She was my best friend through high school, and I feel so fortunate to have known her during that time. My most heartfelt condolences go out to her family. 


I only had the privilege to know Sandra for a few years, but I grew to know her and saw the beautiful light she radiated. It is very rare to meet someone who is so giving and loving and I shall miss her deeply and could never forget such a fantastic person. Tim and I are very saddened by the loss of such a wonderful woman and send our condolences to all that knew Sandra.

We are so sad and sorry to read about Sandra's passing. She was truly a warrior for so many years as she faced her health challenges with such a positive attitude and resilience that was admirable . We hope that you all find some comfort knowing she will be met by Gary, Ruth and Cliff as she enters her Heavenly resting place. You all have another special angel watching over all of you. This is such sad news.  My 3 children ( Joel, Sarah and Andrew)  went to school with Sherri, Laura and Sandra and I watched Sandra grow up from kindergarden through to high school.  From the Kesler Family to the Pela/McKinlay/Brown  families please accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your beloved Sandra. This is heart breaking news.

I first met this beautiful being as a teen along with her mom.  Like many people I worked with, she taught me. Her drive was evident back then. Our paths crossed periodically over the years; I recall  how easy it was to talk with her and also  how hard this young woman worked. A few years ago at Sobey’s our path crossed again.  There Sandra proudly introduced me to her partner and son. Her light and love for them glowed! I think I might have even done a little happy dance and cheer to celebrate the miracle of his  birth. Sandra lived her greatest life and was not defined by her chronic illness; she was so much more. 

Dear Sean, Elliot and family.

  Sandra was a wonderful person.  She was always happy regardless of what life thru at her.  She would light up a room with her smile.  She gave me the courage to keep going when I struggled.  She will be truly missed.  Deepest sympathy to you and the family.
