It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved, Sandra Maureen Brown (nèe Pela). March 9th, 1989, Sandra blessed the world with her presence. For 33 years, Sandra displayed pure resilience, heroic strength, and unconditional love. On Saturday, December 31st, 2022 Sandra succumbed to chronic illness. She will carry on in the hearts of her adoring husband Sean and their cherished miracle son, Eliott. For over 10 years, Sean and Sandra built a life together, conquering challenges and celebrating triumphs through their shared love. She will be eternally treasured by her mother, Barb McKinlay, her siblings Sherri Habermehl (Craig), Laura Pela, Kelsey McKinlay, Steven Pela, and Brooke McKinlay (Ed). Forever remembered by mother in-law Debbie Brown, brother in-law Vince Brown (Donna), sister in-law Jennifer Murray (Brandon), nieces Jane and Rachel, and nephews Marshall, Wyatt, Ben, and Finn. Although not related, Sandra held many others very close to her heart, who will also miss her greatly; Jocelyn Coutts (Dan) and their son Nash, Jacquie Gorman (James), and Joanne and Randy Anderson. She was a true example of selflessness, committed to her career in healthcare despite her own vulnerabilities. A true testament to what it means to be a noble daughter, sibling, cousin, friend, spouse, and mother. It is without a doubt that Sandra has been welcomed to the heavens, embraced by her father Gary and reconnected with her Grandma and Grandpa Harker. A Celebration of Life is being held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20th, 2023 at Acadia McKague’s Funeral Chapel (915 Acadia Drive). For those unable to attend please visit www.faithproductions.ca/livestream to view the service. All are welcome to attend to say their goodbyes and support one another in this time of grief. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to help Sean and Eliott during this time of transition would be greatly appreciated. Any donations can be delivered through e-transfer to her sister Sherri at [email protected]. Arrangements entrusted to Travis Minor.
