Rowena "Rene" Elizabeth Foster

Elizabeth Foster, March 26, 2025, at the age of 94. Rowena was born September 10, 1930, in Roland Manitoba, the first of seven children to Grant and Viola McMahon.

Rene was a member of the McClure family for 30 (thirty) years. Twenty-five (25) of those living in the tower and five (5) years a resident at Amy’s House.

Rene lived a rich full life. She was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-

great grandmother. She will be remembered for devotion to her family and extensive

involvement in the United Church of Canada.

She will be deeply missed by her children Grant (Elizabeth); Judith (Wayne) Bosch; Lynne Kennedy; and Ross (Bernadette). Mom also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and (7) seven great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Jack (Jean) and sister Edith, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Rene was predeceased by her parents Grant and Viola McMahon, husband Alexander

and daughter Patricia.

A celebration of life will be held at McClure United Church, 4025 Taylor St. E, May 2, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. A lunch and a time of fellowship will follow. Rene will be laid to rest beside her husband Alex, in the Brady Cemetery at Artland/Marsden SK. Rene’s legacy of love, strength and compassion will live on in the hearts of all that knew her.
