I had the pleasure of working with Rick in the early 80s. I was fresh out of university and he was my first manager at the TD Bank. Although I changed careers a few years later, much of what he taught me about work ethic stayed with me.
I remember him challenging a bunch of us 'youngsters' to a game of racquetball.  I think there was a case of beer on the line and he was willing to spot each of us 10 points. Rick won easily.
He worked hard, partied hard, and demanded nothing less from us.

WOW I just learned of Rick's passing. So many memories flashing in my head, great memories. We worked at TD together, played baseball and loved our family BBQs together as a team, our TD family camping trips and supporting each other in the Saskatoon business community.  We were neighbors for years and always friends to this day. Our thoughts and feelings are with Laurie and the family . Rick will be missed.

My deepest sympathy to Rick's family.  My fondest memory is of Rick being the pitcher on our TD Bank  ball team, and the close associations everyone on the team shared.  It was also nice to run into him again at his lake property.  He was a great leader but always a team player.

So sorry to hear of Rick’s passing.  I worked with Rick at the TD Bank back in the 80’s. He was one of the best managers I have ever worked for.  He taught us how to work hard as well as play hard!  There were many times when Laurie ended up cooking us breakfast after one of our so called staff parties!  Rick always said, “she doesn’t mind”.  Sorry Laurie!!

 I also remember when we would go to Smitty’s lounge after work for just ONE, and end up solving all the problems of the world.

Years later I enjoyed the many visits we had with Rick and Laurie at their cabin and more recently the gathering we had with some of the TD staff a few years ago.

Laurie so sorry to hear of the passing of Rick. My memories go back to 1976 when our paths first crossed! I had the utmost respect for Rick and he  was a true leader! I've got nothing but good memories of this man.....
We've  probably played hundreds of games of lawn darts together ( the dangerous ones)....and never wounded any of the kids running around the back yard .
I can still see him standing on the fastball mound...wearing those lovely green shorts.....throwing strike after strike....good times.

Rick was one of the good ones. A terrific guy to be around. He always took a genuine interest in others and would do anything for anyone.
