Randy is survived by his spouse Yvette Hanna; married in 1990. He is also survived by his sister Sandra Knowles of Kitimat, BC and two brothers Joe (Donna) Hanna of Kelowna, BC and Ken (Peggy) Hanna of Surrey, BC and five nieces and nephews.
Randy was predeceased by his brother Todd Hanna and parents Earl and Ethel Hanna.
He will be missed by his wife Yvette and her brothers, sisters, in-laws and nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.
Randy loved travelling, and had been to Mexico, Hawaii and other islands many times. One of his jobs as an owner operator was long haul driving from Canada to US where he visited almost all the 50 states. I, Yvette traveled with him on a few of these trips especially if the destination was to California or Nevada areas. The last ten years of his trucking career were spent hauling in the Prairie Provinces. In his younger years he worked at the family business which was Hanna’s Yamaha Organs and Pianos.
He was very much an outdoors guy. In the summer he would often go to the rustic family-owned cabin at Birch Lake, sometimes just with his mother, where there was always something to fix or improve which Randy was very good at.
After Randy retired, he bought a motor home and boat so that he could enjoy more northern lakes for camping and fishing, and we spent plenty of time camping at Morin Lake.
He really was a Jack of all Trades. He did all fixing, renovating and maintenance on his house. In the last five years, one of his hobbies was refurbishing and maintaining his RV and 1980s Edson Boat.
Following Randy’s wishes there are no services planned. A celebration of Life will occur for family with details to be determined.
Anyone wishing to donate in Randy’s honor, please donate to the Canadian Cancer Society
