After a very long and courageous challenge against cancer, Pauline passed away peacefully, in her sleep, in the early morning of Saturday, November 1st. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Paul and Mary Lasky. She is survived by her daughter, Lori VanVleet (Dan); son, Les Scheidel (Deb); grandchildren, Clinton, Rohanna and Drayke Wheatley; her sister, Carmen Mehta (Zarin); nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Pauline was a free thinker and a true spiritualist. She was open minded to all aspects of life. She was positive, humorous, non-judgemental and a good listener. A wonderful mother and a friend that guided her children and others through life with patience, love, understanding and compassion. A woman full of strength, resilience and will power; as well as a classy lady, an enthusiast for knowledge, with bright eyes and a beautiful smile. She was a genuine person in every way. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12th at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor St) with Elaine Presnell presiding.
