With extreme sadness and heartbreak that we announce the passing of Myrna Nazarenko at the age of 81 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mom grew up in rural Saskatchewan in the Meacham, Colonsay, Viscount area. As a young woman she moved to the “big city” Saskatoon and met Ed in 1959 and they married in July 1961. They started a family in 1964, having 3 children, Darcy, Bart and Lori. Myrna and Ed were happily married until Ed’s passing in April of 2022. Myrna was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a successful business woman and with Ed had Mr. Rizo’s Restaurant for over 36 years. She was predeceased by her precious daughter Lori almost six years ago to the day, who was her best friend. A loss that she never recovered from. Her loving husband Ed passed in April of 2022. Her brother Terry passed in 2018. Her mother Doriethy that helped shape her life into the great woman she was, passed away in 2010. She will be missed by her friends new and old and many nieces, nephews and her sister Irene (Frank), sons Darcy and Bart, grandson Dawson and his father Wade. A Celebration of Myrna’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday November 4, 2022 at Acadia Funeral Chapel (915 Acadia Drive). Myrna’s family would like to thank all the staff and residents at The Village in Stonebridge, her final home and a place she really loved. The Saskatoon Cancer Clinic and RUH where donations may be made in lieu of flowers in her memory. Arrangements entrusted to Travis Minor.
