The family of Leo Gartner is saddened to announce his sudden passing on Sunday, September 24, 2017. Leo was born in Macklin, SK on February 21, 1930. He was the second of 15 children of John M. and Angelica Gartner. Leo started working for the Sask. Wheat Pool in 1956 in Rutland and then moved to Luseland in 1971, working a total of 33 years, before retiring into Saskatoon in 1995. Leo married Victoria Weinkauf in 1957. He is survived by 9 children, 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church (3339 Centennial Drive) in Saskatoon. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to Luther Care Communities (1212 Osler St, Saskatoon, SK S7N 0T9).
