Larry peacefully passed away at the Sherbrooke Veteran’s Village on September 28, 2011 at the age of 90. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Patricia. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Marilyn Clark (Ed), Judy Sikorski (Ed) and Janice Boire (Gary Henschel) as well as grandchildren Tim, Erin and Kevin Clark (Ashley), Chrisa Farrell (Shaun), Mark Sikorski (Kelly), Chris Boire (Laura), Shondra Prochera and seven great grandchildren, Serenity, Lily, Austin, Max, Taylor, Dylan and Benson. Larry is also survived by his sisters Lois Delgarno (Bruce), Evelyn Anderson, Pearl Boyce and sister-in-law Myrna Tyson. He was predeceased by his parents Lillian and Stan Tyson and brothers Alan and Ron Tyson. Larry was born in Kindersley in 1921 and later moved to Saskatoon where he was raised and lived the rest of his life. He attended Thornton Public School and Saskatoon Technical Collegiate. Larry served overseas in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1941-1945 as an airframe mechanic. When he returned from the war he married the love of his life Pat in March of 1946. He was employed with Canada Post for 36 years and retired in 1978 to enjoy time with his family. Larry was an avid bowler and was very proud of his bowling accomplishments. He was especially proud to have been inducted into the Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame in November 2009. His love of life could be seen in everything he did, from gardening to woodworking, to bowling, to fishing, or just spending time at the cabin with his beloved family. Larry’s good heart, generous spirit, quick wit and wonderful sense of humor will always be cherished by all of those who were fortunate enough to know him. A heartfelt thank you goes to all the staff at the Veteran’s Village for their kind and loving care. Memorial donations would be appreciated to the Saskatchewan Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
