George Edmund Walter

It is with heavy hearts that the family of George announces his passing on March 30 with his family by his side. He is survived by his five loving daughters; Gail (Duane) Cartier – Gary and Melissa Crowe (Brett, Avery, Lydia), Jen and Al McGillivray (Elliot); Elaine (Alain) Lepage – Derek and Amanda Lepage (Nathan, Aurelia), Allyson and Nathan Halliday (Jaden, Hunter); Marlene (Scott) Kultgen – Kylee, Victoria, Tayler, Jacey; Tami (Tony) Murray – Mitchell and Reanne, Jeremy, Clayton; Lori (Dave) Ciocia – Jorja, Dawson; sister Evelyn Ferridge; brother Elvin Walter; sister in laws Joyce Walter and Dorothy Jakins; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the love of his life, Winnifred, his parents Jakob and Maria Walter and 11 siblings. George loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed camping, golfing, curling, playing cards, and socializing with his many friends. George looked forward to his coffee time with Elvin, Evelyn, Joyce and others at the mall. George was very active in his church for many years and was a very faithful member. The Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Faith Lutheran Church (2801 Preston Avenue, Saskatoon) with Pastor Rudy Pastucha presiding. A private family Interment will be held. Memorial donations may be made to Haultain Church Cemetery Fund or to a charity of your choice in George’s memory. Arrangements entrusted to Ashley Knash.
