Elsie Eileen Olson went to be with her Lord and Saviour December 16, 2019. Elsie was born in Imperial, Saskatchewan, the fourth of 13 children born to William and Grace McWhirter. She attended school in Stalwart and Imperial Saskatchewan and then went to Bible School in Saskatoon for a year. It was here she met Charlie and they married in October of 1944. They were in the ministry with the Pentecostal Assembly of Canada in both Alberta and Saskatchewan. After the passing of Charlie, she moved to Saskatoon and went back to school to complete high school and continued with her education to become an Operating Room Technician. Elsie worked at City Hospital for 20 years. During her time at City Hospital, she met Ralph Olson and they were married in 1975. After Elsie retired, she took up oil painting, free hand drawing and volunteered her expertise as a First Responder at the residence where she lived.
Elsie leaves to mourn, her son Lloyd (Muriel) Warkentin; daughter Beverly (Harold) Olson; daughter-in-law Elaine Klassen; son-in-law Dan Cain (Elizabeth); 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; sister Evelyn (George) Kerr; brother George (Bernice) McWhirter; 3 Stepdaughters Jean (Glen) Leland, Loverna (Mel) Heistad and Illa (Lorne) Barber; 9 step grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren.
Elsie was predeceased by her parents William and Grace McWhirter; Charles Warkentin, the father of her children; son Myrvin; daughter Lorna: her second husband Ralph of 27 years; five sisters Ellen, Edna, Isabel, Pat and Mabel and five brothers William, Jack, Andrew, Elvin and Bobby.
