It is with true sadness that the family of Donnie Schenn announce his passing. He died at his home on November 26th, 2022. On September 22, 1958 Donald George was born as the second of six children to George and Evelyn Schenn of Saskatoon. You only had to meet Donnie once and you would remember him forever. Living the life of a bachelor, Donnie took pride in being part of a large, tight-knit family. He especially enjoyed his 14 nieces and nephews and their children. If Donnie could help you in any way, he would. If he was able to give something to you, it was yours. This attitude was seen in the years he spent caring for his parents and in his special relationship with his Auntie Cecilia. He kept busy with many hobbies and collections through the years, and he loved his summers at Chitek Lake. Until failing health stopped him, he put many miles on biking around Saskatoon. Donnie will be forever missed by his father George, siblings Debbie (Ray) Tetreault, Jeff (Rita) Schenn, Jennifer (Gerry) Visentini, Ken Woytowich and all his nieces and nephews. He was immediately embraced in heaven by his mother Evelyn, sister Kathy and infant brother David. We know he missed them dearly. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday December 6, 2022 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (3339 Centennial Drive) in Saskatoon with Fr. Tumback as Celebrant. The Rite of Committal will be held for the immediate family at a later date. Donations in Donnie’s memory may be made to Lung Sask.
