It is with great sadness that I heard that David past away.  He had been a great friend of my late partner, Brent, and I.  Brent and I met David and his group of friends when we relocated from New Brunswick to Regina, Saskatchewan in the early 1990's and we became fast friends.  Our friendship endured moves that took Brent and I to Edmonton, then Toronto, then Moncton and finally my home in Harvey N.B.  and when changes in our lives that made us both single.  We visited each other regularly and traveled together across Western Canada and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  
I will miss his handyman nature, his cherub-like grin and his laughter.  My condolences go out to his Saskatchewan friends (Bernie, Buddy, Eugene & Debbie and Dale, all who go way back with David) as well as his more recent friends (David always had a penchant for making new ones).  My thoughts are also with his family at this time.  Thanks you David for being part of my life.

Missing a great Brother and Brother  in Law you willbe missed by many  

I always appreciated the warm and enthusiastic welcome David extended to me - he would hustle across the room to not only say hi but inquire what we were up to including graciously stepping in and preparing a spectacular meal when the caterer for a RUH  fundraiser at our house didn't show.

We, the Jim Plemel family , would like to send our sincere condolences to David’s family and friends.We knew David through Bosco and he epitomized the true Bosco spirit.David always had a smile to share and we loved his zest for life.
He will truly be missed, especially when we next gather at camp.

I met David at camp when I was 12. He was 17. He wasn’t my counsellor ever.  But our friendship grew over the years at camp and when we both moved to Saskatoon met more mutual friends and the friendship blossomed  over the  50 plus years. 
I love Ron’s memories of David. As I too hated the cold waters of Zeden lake.    
David was life.  He lived life to the fullest.  The truest of friends one could ever have. 
I will miss you dearly !  But I know you are truly at home to God.   Godspeed my dear friend !❤️🙏


        Dave was one of the first people I met my first summer, 1970, I believe.  A welcoming and helpful individual always.
        He was there when I drew up the little running men, and always in character did some posing to make sure they were right. Thus they became the camp logo for some time. The next summer he had some great ideas as I drew up the hand book and song book covers of the little guys doing some camp activities. 
        He later became one of my most trying students when he decided to participate in the first lifesaving and leader course I conducted when I was waterfront director. Not for lack of effort but because he had a wacky, uncooperative muscle memory, and simply did not float. His intolerance to cold water caused him to purchase a bright orange wet suit, and thus was born the bionic carrot.  And that's how I'll remember him, in bright orange and grinning.


I worked with David at Community Development.  Loved his sense of humor and his kind way.  When my sister was ill with cancer, he not only bought a ticket for the fundraiser, but came to it by himself.    I sat with him a while but then got busy with the event.  But whenever I looked over, there he was. It was very touching.  It was such a kind gesture.  I felt supported and I'll never forget it.

I have so many good memories of David - always a cheerful smile and kind word - and so much fun -   We didnt  visit often since I moved to BC but it was just like never being away when we talked - He shall  be  missed greatly

I had the pleasure of working with David at the City of Saskatoon.  He was always cheerful and worked hard.  Deepest condolences to David's friends and family.  So sorry to hear of his passing.

My cousin David. Never got to spend much time with you as our close families dispersed across the West. Your mother Marg and her young sister Bea, my mom, remained close throughout the years, helping each other survive tough times. I always heard about you from my mother and yours when I came south from the Yukon. You will be missed, and, you will be remembered. Your life mattered and you did good things. Happy trails, love. 

Condolences to family and friends. I worked at the City of Saskatoon for part of the time David was there and remember his friendliness and great smile! Sad to know that he's gone, but he leaves lots of good memories!

I met David through my brother Brian (RIP) and brother-in-law Wayne. Knowing the 2 of them it was usually a party  when I would see David as well as enjoying Mexico with him once. He was very kind, generous and very thoughtful man who enjoyed conversation with anyone. Heaven has gained another angel who has made it a better place. He will be missed. Rest In Peace David
