Darlene was predeceased by her husband Paul Genereux, her parents Erwin and Lillie Koch, and sister Lucille Ponto. Darlene was born and raised at the family farm near Indi, SK, south of Dundurn. She enjoyed facilitating many special gatherings, large and small, for family and friends. Her door was always open to all who visited and stayed. Any visit to the house meant enjoying fresh baking and a home cooked meal. Darlene was well known in the neighbourhood for her freshly baked buns. For several years she provided childcare for Curtis and Geoff Arnold. Once her children were in school, Darlene worked part-time for greeting card companies. Darlene and Paul enjoyed dancing, golf and curling together and in later years she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, watching sports and reading. Darlene was well known as the family historian who was admired for her incredible ability to recall birthdates, anniversaries and family events in great detail for which she was always happy to share. Darlene passed from a sudden onset of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Her family wishes to express their appreciation to the oncology unit at RUH for the excellent care and kindness she received there. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Aime Laventure.
