Remembered by his sons Mitchell (Millicent) Taras of Calgary AB. Christopher Taras of Saskatoon and his daughter Amanda Taras of Saskatoon, Grandchildren Amanda and Chad Kereluk, Great Grandchildren Jaris, Kyler, Lillianna and Everett Kereluk as well as numerous in-laws, nephews and nieces. Bruce was predeceased by his wife Marjorie and his parents Peter and Francais.
Bruce was born and raised in Saskatoon, spending his youth with horses and participating in bronco riding competitions. After attending Bedford Road Collegiate and working at Intercontinental Packers, Bruce started his own upholstery business which transformed into becoming a textile manufacturing operation.
Bruce enjoyed his quality time spending with friends playing poker and kaiser, his usual coffee group chats and his enjoyment of attending auctions. Yearly family skiing trips to Montana and other destinations in the United States were also what he cherished.
Bruce spent the last 30 years residing at the Lazy T where he rekindled his love for horses (especially Tennessee Walkers) and operating his own sign business.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday January 13 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens (3rd entrance facing SE) with a celebration of Bruce’s life to occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to a charity of your choice. The family would like to extend their many thanks to all members of the emergency response unit as well as their enormous gratitude to all family and friends for their assistance and support. Arrangements entrusted to Travis Minor.
