She was born in Boston, MA and raised in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia and Halifax Canada. She was the daughter of late Beatrice and Price Palmer. "Ginny" attended Mount Saint Vincent Academy and Kings College where she earned her teaching degree. She taught all grade levels in a one room school house. Once she moved to the United States she taught special needs students. During one of the school outings at the Genesee Gorge she fell 150 feet while saving a special needs student that climbed the fence and fell. She was the first female that earned her pilot's license for small air craft in New Brunswick, Canada. She was a model for several department stores, a homemaker and business owner. "Ginny" was the President of Park and Recreations for the town of Chili, New York. She also had a newspaper column for cooking ideas and recipes. On her downtime she enjoyed knitting, playing the piano, cooking and hosting parties.
In November 1958 "Ginny" married the love of her life Richard "Dick". They had an amazing life together making so many great memories as they traveled the world. They were blessed with four children. They had a few businesses together with one being The Tropic Motel they opened when they moved to Florida in December 1978.
"Ginny" is survived by her daughters, Pamela Schroeder and Tanya Carlsen; her son, Kevin Miller; her grandson's Lane (Misti) Schroeder, Brandon Quercione, Brett Carlsen and Cory Carlsen; her granddaughter Daina (Rusty) Baker; her great-grandchildren Benjamin, Gianna, Olivia and "baby Lane" whose on the way. Several nieces and nephews and half sisters Lois McLeod and Nancy Olson.
"Ginny" was preceded in death by her husband "Dick"; her son Bradley Sr.; her grandson Bradley Jr.; and her sisters Sharon Sullivan and Marjorie Walker.
A memorial service will be at a later date at Sarasota National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her soulmate "Dick"; in which, he will receive honors.
