Sarah Patricia Bavaro

Sarah Patricia Bavaro, of Lakewood Ranch, FL formerly of North Bellmore, NY and Kingstree, SC passed away on Oct. 21, 2016 at the age of 81. Born on Aug. 14, 1935 in Rock Hill, SC to the late Garland and Sarah (nee McCarty) Mauney, she was a graduate of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing of Charleston, SC. Sarah worked as a Nurse for Mercy Hospital, Rockville Centre, NY and Massapequa General Hospital, Seaford ,NY, retiring after 30 years.

She enjoyed traveling and cooking, mostly Southern Cuisine Dishes. Sarah loved all animals, especially her cats, Puffy and Boots. She was a member of the Red Hats Society and Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church.

Sarah is survived by her loving children, Maria Garland Lowe of Bradenton, FL and Louis A. Bavaro (Giovanna) of Lakewood Ranch, FL and cherished grandchildren, Sarah Garland Lowe, Sabrina Noelle Bavaro, Anthony John Bavaro II and Michael Thomas Bavaro. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Anthony John Bavaro.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother and aunt that will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held today, Tue. Oct. 25, 2016 from 5 to 8 pm at Palms Robarts Funeral Home, 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota, FL 34232. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wed. Oct. 26, 2016 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, 12905 E State Rd 70, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202. Interment will take place at following the service at 1 pm at Sarasota National Cemetery.
