Very sad to know of Rory’s passing. An all around great guy who surely loved his family and fellow man. I had the privilege of working with him several years at USPS. My sympathy to his family.

On behalf of Suncoast Charities for Children, we send our condolences to the MacConnell family.  Rory always played a key role during our annual Thunder By The Bay Music & Motorcycle Festival as his heart was always near and dear to helping children with special needs.  We will miss his smiling face and plan to dedicate our 2024 "Ride So Children Can Thrive" charity motorcycle ride in loving memory of him.  Rest in peace Rory - keep smiling down on all of us from heaven.  Gone but never forgotten.

You were like no other Rory. Whenever someone pockets 5balls on a 9ball break, I still say, “Rory Break!” Always honest, loyal, and held your family closet to your heart. Blessed to have met you.

Rory!  I am deeply saddened by the news that Rory passed away.  He was a good man, a good Brother Mason, and I will miss him dearly.  Rest in peace my friend.

Rory was my first contact with BK Fl XVIII when I retired from Maine I to Florida. He had a big heart and always willing to help. He was extremely  active with the BK and held many positions. 

We became good friends he  will be missed. Our Chapter is grieving his death but will never forget him and what he represented.

Rory was one of my best friends in the Brotherhood of the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. I will sure miss him and all the times we spent together. His advice over the years has been so beneficial to me. To Jen and the kids, my heart goes out to ya'll, and Dwan and I will always be dear friends to ya'll.

When we were kids, and my cousin Rory along with his twin sister Robyn came to visit, they always seemed to start playing with the toy I wanted to play with. Back then, that no doubt, didn’t sit well.

Then, when my folks said “we’re going to the Macconnells”- it was the complete opposite, At the house on the other side of the island the basement was  full of toys, his, Robyn’s and even more from the older Macconnell clan. 

My cousin Rory without hesitation shared not only his toys, he shared his generosity, his kindness and his love with me, and with everyone who had the great good fortune to know him.

He’s a Macconnell- what’d ya expect?

I’m a fortunate man to be able to claim Rory, Robyn and whole Macconnell clan as family.

Rory was an outstanding person who was a very respected member of the Blue Knights. I enjoyed our interactions at any of the events we were at. He will be sorely missed. Our prayers are with Jen and the family

Rory was an amazing and energetic man. As we say good bye, I only hope we can emulate the bravery and spirit he has shown us over the last year.
