Mamie "Joyce" Hudspeth

She was born on May 11, 1928 in Okahumpka, Florida. A native Floridian living her life in Sarasota, Ocala and Altamonte Springs.

Joyce is predeceased by her parents Miles and Lizzie Green of Leesburg, Florida; her devoted husband of 50 years, Rudolph Hudspeth; her sister, Marjory Cunningham and second husband, Les Piper.

Survivors include her four children, Gail (Hudspeth) Loeffler, Larry Hudspeth, Brenda (Hudspeth) DeLong and James Hudspeth. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, Dorian Loeffler, Dennis DeLong, Brittany Loeffler, Casey Hudspeth, Nicole DeLong Ferguson, Nikki Livingston, Sarah Livingston Davis, Chase DeLong, Colby Hudspeth and Katie Livingston and her precious great-grandchildren.

The word “angel” is frequently used by many to describe her. She was always looking for someone who needed a friend or help with their lives-and she made friends easily. She was a member of the Bee Ridge Baptist Church and was active until poor health limited her abilities to participate in the activities she enjoyed. A loving and kind mother, person and friend, one to be admired. Rest in peace, mother, you are with daddy now.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 29th at 11 AM at Bee Ridge Baptist Church.
