Linda V. McClowry, 71, of Clark Road, Sarasota, Florida and New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018 following years of a painful battle with Lupus and Lung Cancer. Linda was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Born in Brookville, PA to Arthur G Hinderliter and Mazie Hilliard, she lived most of her life in Western Pennsylvania, retiring from Smuckers Corporation in New Bethlehem. PA. She moved to Sarasota six years ago with her devoted husband, Richard Edwin McClowry. He survives. Other survivors include her only son, Jeffrey Bailey and his wife Michele and two granddaughters Dawnelle Bailey and Ashley C Ross.
Despite her multiple health issues, Linda always carried an infectious smile and expressed concern for those in worse condition than herself. Linda was also well known and complimented on her attractive hair styles.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation can send it to Manor Care of Sarasota, Tidewell Hospice or an animal shelter of any choice.
