Judith Kenney Martire

Judith graduated from Amelia High School and began her career at Indiana Bell, she went on to have a successful business career with AT&T. Judy was deeply devoted to her faith, she was a long term member of Faith United Methodist Church in Indianapolis serving many years as treasurer and a member of the church choir most recently, a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, she was active in both volunteering and fund raising for Hospice and Alzheimer of Sarasota County. Judy traveled the world extensively throughout the her life, and had many amazing adventures with her dear Cousin Ruth. She was an avid health and fitness enthusiast with her many vitamins, oils and workouts. Judy’s greatest love was for her family, she was truly devoted to each and every member of her large extended family.

She is survived by her loving husband Jim Martire and her children Doug (Michelle) Thompson, Terri Thompson (Larry) Foley, and Debbie Thompson (Steve) Thacker. Stepchildren John (Jane) Kenney, Don (Gioia) Kenney, Michele (Rick) Pesce and Debbie Senecal. Grandchildren Zachary (Katie) Foley, Allie Foley, Sydni Thacker, Riley Thacker and Samantha Thacker. Step Grandchildren Trafton Kenney, Britt Lacher, Caleb Kenney, Eklutna Kenney, Larkin Kenney, Ryan (Amber) Pesce, Danielle Pesce, Rickie (Averil) Pesce, and Christopher Senecal. Great Granddaughter Collette Judith Foley, and Step Great Grandchildren Gianna, Lucia, Mickalyn and Cadien. Her brother Jim Watson and sister Betty Southworth.

She is preceded in death by her parents Clyde & Bertha Watson, sister Karen Petty, husband Ralph R. Thompson and husband Donald P. Kenney.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the many nurses at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center who were so kind to Judy and her family. A special thank you to Tidewell Hospice and John Bowman.

A visitation for Judith will be held Friday, September 17, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Angels, 12905 State Road 70 E, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202. A reception will occur Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 12:30 PM, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232.
