John Maestri

John was born Oct.19th. 1922 in Norwalk Ct. to beloved parents Fred & Ida Maestri. He graduated from Norwalk High school Class of 1942 later on he was accepted into the American Academy of dramatic Arts in Manhattan, And enjoyed acting in early television. During WW2 he was a sergeant in the Army -Aircorp Where he enjoyed a friendship with Clark Gable often shooting skeet with him out west. In the Aircorp he found and married the love of his Life Irene Helen Bajur after a heady romance they entered into a marriage that would last 64 wonderful Years of love and friendship, very much to his regret she preceded him on Oct.11 2006 after a long illness ,

After he married Irene he joined his father's real estate firm he also built many custom homes in Fairfield County and enjoyed the ownership of numerous small businesses in Connecticut he was past member of the Knights of Columbus, The Religious order of The Holy Ghost Fathers, The Screen Actors Guild, Toastmasters, and the Master builders association. In his later years he enjoyed many years of retirement in Ellenton Florida.

He is survived by his sons John Maestri Jr.and his wife Linda and Christopher Maestri and his wife Deyanira and also by his two cherished Sisters Eva Howell and Tina Santo and numerous Nieces and Nephews, and his most precious Dachshund Gretchen.

It can be truly said that John loved God and his creation above all and was a friend to all he encountered.
