John was a graduate of J.W. Cooper High School, Class of 1947; he furthered his studies at Drexel University where he received his Associates in Photography. John served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean War.
John worked at Exxon Mobil in Paulsboro, NJ as a photographer retiring after 36 years. He was a Mason for 65 years, 20 of those years he held as a 32nd Degree Mason in Philadelphia, PA. John also was with the Sahib Shrine for 35 years.
He enjoyed raising Orchids, he was part of the Colony Cove Orchid Club and Florida Railroad Club. John liked to raise money for South Eastern Guide Dogs. During the Christmas Season he was a Salvation Army Bell Ringer.
John is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Ruth (Stuber) Gouldner and companion of 17 years, Elizabeth Brumm. John leaves behind his many dear friends in Colony Cove Community along with Cynthia and Theodore Brumm, Betty's daughter and son; and Robert and Henrietta Hoffman, Betty's nephew and wife.
John will be laid to rest next to his wife, Ruth in Oaklyn, NJ at St. Marks Lutheran Church.
