John Thomas Flansburg Jr.

Major John T. Flansburg, Jr, 54 of Palmetto, FL. formerly of Hudson, MA passed away on January 9th, 2019 after a short illness. He was the loving husband of Emogene Flansburg, beloved son of Janet and John (Tom) Flansburg, beloved brother of Laura Mac Ronald, godson of William Camara and dear friend Paula Camara.

John graduated from Hudson Catholic High School (MA) and the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis. He later became a US Marine Corps Helicopter Aviator and worked as an engineer for numerous firms after leaving the military.

John will be lovingly remembered by his step-children, Mike Shadwick, Jonathan Crump and Cami Crump. John will also be fondly remembered by ‘the grandbabies’: Tegan, Lucian, Mischa, Dorian and Grayson.

A Memorial Service in memory of John is scheduled for Friday, February 8th, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.

A celebration of life is also scheduled at the family home in Palmetto, FL immediately following the ceremony.
