An avid pipe organ enthusiast, Charles was the President of the Manasota Theater Organ Society, and enjoyed listening to Joanne play the organ he’d installed in their home.
Charles and his wife, Joanne are known and loved for many reasons, not the least of which was the Christmas light display at their home on Proctor Road for more than ten years. The show included 250,000 lights synchronized with music of the season, and embodied the true spirit of Christmas—the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. It became a Christmas tradition for thousands.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Joanne; loving daughter, Layne Cason; sister, Virginia Pierson; cherished grandson, Chris McConnell (Alyssa) and great grandson, Chase McConnell.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 2 pm at Grace Church, 8000 Bee Ridge Rd., Sarasota, FL 34241.
