Beloved mother, wife and friend, she was a consistent example of unconditional love. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, J. Ray Smith.
She is survived by her daughter Vicki Lynn Smith and husband Jerry Raley, son Craig Smith and wife Debbie, daughter Julie Smith Searer and husband Gerald. Grandchildren Christa Cooper (Neal), Cynthia Cooper, Caralyn Cooper Snyder (Joe), Jennifer Smith Oliver (Doug), Jessica Smith Gomez (Guillermo), Courtney Smith Inzalaco (Bradley), Craig Smith, Heather Parris (Matthew) and Ashleigh Holt (Jason). Great-grandchildren Kaylee, Kimberly, Kendra, Caitlyn, Jay, Carleigh, Kaitlin, Hannah, Mitchell, Arabella, Kyleigh, Kelsea and Ashton, as well as five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of service at 1 pm on Thurs., Feb. 25, 2016 at Colonial Oaks Baptist Church, Sarasota, FL. Fellowship and refreshments following. Graveside at 3 pm at Palms-Robarts Memorial Park, Sarasota.
