Billy A. Nolen, 81, of Bradenton, FL journeyed home to heaven on Sept. 28, 2011.
He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Verna; sons, Stuart and Raymond; 2 daughters-in-law, 6 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, step-children, an aunt, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces and many friends.
He was born in Texas and attended West Texas State and Texas Christian University. Being a Design Engineer employed by DuPont, he worked in Canada, Holland and Brazil, eventually settling in Delaware. In 1990, he retired to Sarasota.
Being a Navy man serving in the Korean War gave him a love for traveling and driving all over the world. He loved fishing, golfing, and watching sports on TV. He was a quiet, unassuming, generous man who was loved by many and missed by all.
In celebration of his life, there will be a memorial service and luncheon, which will be held on Monday October 3 at 11 am at :

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Heart Association if you wish.
A military service for his internment will be held in 2-3 weeks and will be announced at a later date.
