Sylvia "Sammie" Ann Smith

Sammie lived in Mobile Alabama since 1957. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Jennings Bryan Martin and Emma Verlena Rasberry Martin; husband, Lloyd B. Smith and one son, Timothy “Timmy” Scott Smith, a sister, Mary Martin Thomasson, and one brother Benjamin C. Martin. She is survived by three children, Greg Smith of Semmes, Teresa “Terri” Ferrell (Steve) of Flemington NJ, and Melissa “Cathy” McDaniel (Mark) of Long Beach MS. Six grandchildren, Jeremy Burnham (Val) of Mt. Pleasant SC, Jason Burnham (Kate) of Jacksonville FL, Jordan Smith of Daphne AL, Jana McDaniel (Jason) of Diberville MS, Taylor McDaniel (Sam) of Long Beach MS, and Sarah McDaniel of Long Beach MS. Seven great grandchildren, Caesar Endquist, Dominic Burnham, Addison Burnham, Jonathan Burnham, Declan Mitchell, Remy Burnham and Levi McDaniel. Two brothers, Elwyn Martin (Mary) of Bossier City, LA, Gary Martin (Shirley) of Beaumont, MS. Four sisters, Catherine Small, Lorraine Johnson (Allen) and Shannon Lott (Boots) all of Beaumont MS and Violet Henderson (JT) of Lucedale MS. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was a Christian who loved the Lord with all of her heart. She also loved gardening and loved beautifying her own yard and home with plants and flowers. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were her heart!

Family will receive friends on Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. to 8: P.M. at Haven Woods Baptist Church, 7050 Lott Road, Semmes, AL. Funeral Service will be held at the church on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 9:00 A.M. with interment following in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
