Shirley Ann Powell – a 72 year-old lifelong resident of Semmes, AL passed away at her home on Saturday, August 22, 2015. Beloved wife, mother, sister, and nana, she was an active longtime member of Wilmer First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Powell is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Howard Eugene Powell; daughter, Sharon Smith (Vince); sons, Tony Powell and David Powell (Danielle); sister, Diane Henry (Mitchell); brother, Rick McAdams (Kari); eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from Wilmer First Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at 12 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Chip Smith, Kyle Broadus, Logan Powell, Mitchell Henry, Steve Powell, and Roy Pearce.
