Richard Wayne Taylor, 68, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024. He was born on July 8, 1955 in Mobile, Alabama. He was a long time resident of Lucedale, MS & previously New Orleans, Louisiana. He was retired from Autotote Systems where he received numerous Awards and accolades. Richard was also Co-Owner of George County Electric of Lucedale Mississippi.
He was the Eldest Son of the late Bowen & Eula Faye Taylor.
Father of Sheila Taylor McNabb (Robert). Brother of Wanda Stowe ( Gary), Wendell Taylor, and Janet Taylor Berry ( Robert). Grandfather of Logan McNabb, Austin McNabb, Paris McNabb, and Dylan McNabb. He is also survived by his nieces Danielle LeBourgeois & Jessica Stowe as well as nephews Ryan Berry & Austin Berry. Former husband of the late Denise Guillory Taylor for 25 years.
Richard was loved and cherished by many. He was outgoing and charismatic, loving and kind. He thrived for knowledge and it was difficult to find a subject that he couldn’t expand on. “ Knowledge knows no bounds.” He will be dearly missed and we will all cherish the time and memories we were honored to have with him.
A visitation for Richard will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, AL 36571, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM. Interment will be held in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Saraland, AL..
