She was a native of Demopolis, AL and a longtime resident of Chickasaw. She was a member of Lafitte Baptist Church where she devoted much of her time preparing meals and caring for others, especially those in need.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John Howard Cook, and she is survived by one daughter, Linda Cook (Robert Gary) Browning of Spanish Fort, AL; two grandchildren, Jason (Lauren) McGowin of Spanish Fort, AL and Keiron (Dana) McGowin of Trussville, AL; two very loved little great-granddaughters, Emma and Tatum McGowin; nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, January 25, 2013 from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. until 2 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
