Johnny was born on September 30, 1941 to Willie Mae and Elmer Ray Boggs of Whistler, Alabama.
He attended Vigor High School, and received his diploma in 1959. Shortly after he started working in the upholstery business where he stayed until 1975, when he began his career with Prichard Water Works.
Johnny married the love of his life Elizabeth Arina Punt in June of 1973. They had one daughter Faye Elizabeth Boggs in June 1976.
After 24 years of service with Prichard Water Works, Johnny retired in 1999 and spent most of his time at car shows with his 1955 Chevy. He won numerous awards and trophies over the years.
He was an amazing man who had the biggest heart, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Johnny was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth A. Boggs; and his parents, Willie Mae and Elmer Ray Boggs.
He is survived by his loving and devoted daughter, Faye Boggs; grandchildren, Joey Boggs( Asheley), and Austin Sansom; his great grandchildren, Abbey Boggs, Levi Boggs and Jacob Boggs; his sister, Nancy Brewer and his nephew Danny Brewer.
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Gulf Crest Cemetery, Chunchula, Alabama.
