Joe Warren Smith, age 97, passed away at his home in Sims Chapel on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. He is preceded in death by his wives, Elizabeth Steadhem Smith and Audrey Baptist Smith, his son, Jerry Smith and his parents, William Clyde and Hattie Goolsby Smith.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Mary Smith and two daughters; Sheron McManus and Aline Lewis. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Mr. Smith served his country honorably in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired after many years of service with Ciba Geigy.

Visitation will be held at Sims Chapel Community Church on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral service time of 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the McIntosh United Methodist Church Cemetery,
