Dixie Luke Morris, a resident of Saraland, Al., passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014. She was a member of of Bayou Sara Baptist Church. Dixie was known for her design and seamstress skills which she used working as head designer for the movie Close Encounters. She was an artist and enjoyed painting. Dixie was preceded in death by her daughter, Angie Cammon, parents, Dewey and Pearl Luke, sister, Nancy Davidson. She is survived by her husband, Bud Morris, son, Lee (Dee Dee) Cammon, grandsons, Blaine and Brock Cammon, granddaughter, Baleigh Cammon and one great granddaughter. Being the oldest of 11 siblings survivors include 5 sisters, 4 brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Funeral service will be held Monday, March 10th at 2 P.M. from the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
