Alman Lee, native of Quitman, Mississippi and longtime resident of Turnerville, AL, was born January 5, 1926 and went to his heavenly home on Saturday, May 16, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary Turner Lee, and wife of 66 years, Audrey Wade Lee.
Mr. Lee served his country honorably in the United States Navy, serving in WWII and the Korean conflict. He was stationed on the USS La Porte, where he piloted a landing boat for the troops. He crossed the Equator and the International Date Line and was considered a Shellback and a Golden Dragon.
Mr. Lee is survived by his daughter, Deborah Edmonds (Richard) and son, Bruce (Consilia) Lee. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Sarah Jirka (Shawn), Richard Edmonds, Jr. (Brandy), Timothy Lee, Matthew Lee (Megan) and Andrew Lee; great-grandchildren; Jackson Jirka, Anna Jirka, Marley Edmonds and Emma Rose Edmonds. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, AL on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until service time of 11:00 a.m. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow In Forest Lawn Cemetery, Saraland, AL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to Saraland Baptist Church, Annie Armstrong Missions.
