Medardo Aristides Rivas Campos

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Medardo Rivas Campos, who left us peacefully on April 6, 2025, at the age of 58. A beloved father, brother, son, and friend, Medardo made his home in Santa Paula, California for over two decades, where his warmth, kindness, and unforgettable smile touched countless lives.

Born in San Jorge, El Salvador, Medardo was the cherished son of Socorro Campos and Medardo Rivas. From humble beginnings, he built a life centered on love, family, and perseverance. He was a man who lived with purpose and heart, always placing those he loved first.

Medardo is survived by his five children—Lourdes, Sally, Michelle, Anthony, and Andrew—each one a testament to his strength, love, and dedication. They were his pride and joy, his greatest accomplishments, and his guiding light. He also leaves behind his only brother, Alejandro, with whom he shared a special bond. Medardo not only shared his home with Alejandro but looked after him with immense care and loyalty.

Medardo’s love for fútbol, especially his unwavering support for Club América de México, was a passion he proudly shared with those around him. He was the friend you always wanted on your team and in your life—steadfast, joyful, and always ready to lend a hand. He was known for his bright smile, his natural ability to make friends everywhere he went, and his deep commitment to family, especially to his parents in El Salvador, whom he cared for lovingly from afar.

One of his proudest achievements was building his dream retirement home in El Salvador—a symbol of his dedication, resilience, and love for his roots. That home now stands as a lasting tribute to his hard work and hope for the future.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has shown love, support, and compassion during this time. Your memories and kind words remind us just how deeply Medardo was loved by all who knew him. We know how important our Dad was to each of you in every stage of his life, and we thank you for holding his memory close.

In accordance with Medardo's wishes, all funeral services will take place in El Salvador.
