Alfred G. Soto

December 17, 1923 - October 24, 2010

Alfred G. Soto, 86, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at his home. He has been a resident of Ventura County for 81 years. He was born in Los Angeles, CA. Alfred was married to his loving wife, Maria F. Soto for 24 years. He served Army during the Korean War from 1948-1950 and was a member of the Santa Paula VFW Post, Alfred really loved and enjoyed living in the Santa Paula Community. He enjoyed watching Dodger Baseball games and Sunday drives with the family. He is preceded in death by his parents Peter and Elenor Soto, brother Tony Soto, sister Josie Moreno, brothers Peter Soto, Alfonso Soto, sisters Nellie Soto, Pauline Cobos and brother Rudy Soto. He is survived by his wife, Maria Soto of Santa Paula, Son Frank Valdivia and Granddaughter Ruby Valdivia of Fontana, CA and sister Ida Rosas of Los Angeles, CA. Services for Alfred will be held Monday, Nov. 1st at Skillin-Carroll Mortuary in Santa Paula. The viewing will be from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., with a rosary at 7pm. The Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010 at 10:00 A.M at St. Sebastian’s Church, with burial following at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery.Arrangements under the direction of Skillin-Carroll Mortuary, Santa Paula, CA.
