Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many.Born in Bognor Regis, England to Dorothy and Sydney Lucas. Ronald was one of seven children. He grew up in England, where he met his wife, Marion Holloway. They emigrated to New Zealand and later to the United States, where he settled in San Jose Calif. He had two daughters, Clare and Jackie. Ronald was in the British Army during WWI. He worked as a plumber, like his father and brothers.
He enjoyed playing golf with his brothers and wife. Frequently he could be found enjoying a good book with his cat curled up next to him. Music was always playing in his home; he especially enjoyed Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and the big bands. He was very proud of his English Heritage. He was a great storyteller, often entertaining the family with stories from his childhood. Ronald had a great sense of humor; his home was always full of laughter. Ron loved to discuss politics and had very strong opinions about how the country should be run. Family was very important to Ronald. He always put family first, going on weekend outings and vacations and taking time to teach his children.
We will miss you Ronald!
