Kathleen loved God, her family, friends, music, sports, and trips to Reno! She grew up catholic but enjoyed learning about different religions and was very spiritual. Being with family and friends always made Kathleen happy. She sometimes even belted out a tune at family get- togethers. When Opening up your voicemail on your birthday you were sure to find that she had sung happy birthday to you! Kathleen was a gifted and talented musician which included singing, songwriting, and playing any instrument given to her, especially the guitar, clarinet and drums. Music was her happy place. However, nothing brought her more joy than going to baseball games. To quote from her memoir, “I am thankful that I am able to live to see the San Francisco Giants win the World Series.” Besides baseball, one of Kathleen's favorite pastimes was taking bus trips to Reno. Reno was her get-away place. She loved it there and made many friends on her trips. Kathleen will always be with us and we will always feel her presence. We love you Mom, Grandma, Aunt Kathleen and to many, a loving friend.
We would like to thank all of you who in some way touched Kathleen throughout her life. She was proud to call you her family and friends.
There were many individuals that helped us through this process. We love you from the bottom of our hearts for being there when we needed you most.
We would especially like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. They were loving and compassionate at all times. We appreciate their gentle care and support of Kathleen and the sensitivity that they showed my family, as well
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.limafamilysantaclara.com for the Vierra family.
