Donald Payton

Born July 21, 1932 in Oklahoma. He is the son of Lottie Edwards and John Payton. He is the middle child and has a surviving brother, John Payton.

He is survived by his two daughters, DeAnna Cassidy, Lynne Payton and son in-law Mike Cassidy. Don and Sherry Payton have 6 grandchildren (Lisa, Suzanne, Kevin, Bryan, Matthew and Kyle) and 7 great grandchildren (Darian, Dakota, Hayden, Paxton, Mason, Skylar and Matthew).

Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 21, at 11am at the Lima Family Mortuary, 466 North Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara, CA. A graveside service will occur Monday, March 21 at Noon at Mission City Memorial Park, 420 N. Winchester, Santa Clara, CA. Family will receive friends after the gravesite service at Lima Family Mortuary, all are invited to attend.

Don has lived most of his adult life in Santa Clara and deeply loved his family. He was a 50-year Mason with Liberty Lodge in Santa Clara. He enjoyed corny jokes, square and round dancing and enjoying social events with friends.
