Carlos Enrique Rodriguez Rivera, died May 24, 2021 in San Jose, California. He was born September 30, 1936 in Puno, Peru to Melquíades and Marina Rodriguez. He was the oldest of 4 siblings, Maria Teresa, Jaime, and Rebecca. He spent his childhood in Arequipa, Peru before studying engineering in Lima, Peru. He came to the United States in 1962, sponsored by his friend Adolfo Guzman, with a dream of working as an engineer. After arriving, he studied at San Jose State and worked odd jobs until finally working his way into the semiconductor industry. He eventually retired from AMD as an engineering manager. He did not stop there, starting his own business, The Packaging Connection Inc., which is still thriving to this day. He enjoyed cooking traditional Peruvian recipes, gardening, and sharing his sense of humor. He is survived by his loving wife Rosa, his sons Jaime and Enrique, and his four grandchildren.
