Brenda, my heart is so full.  working with you in Pedi Specialty was one of the high lights of my career.  You brought so much joy to many and your kind spirit will be greatly missed.  Rest in Peace and enjoying walking the streets of Heaven smiling down at your Baby Girl.  I will keep your family in my Prayers.

My deepest condolences on the loss of beautiful Brenda.  I was fortunate to know her during our teenage years through mutual friends.  She was always a class act.  Beautiful and sweet is how I will  remember Brenda.  May Brenda rest in peace and live forever in the hearts and memories of all her family and friends. 

Brenda and I started our nursing careers at the school district and quickly became close friends.  I went on to join Public Health she followed shortly. Through out our careers we served the same population of children. We often made a good team. She went the extra steps to get her patient the services they needed.  She was more to me than a colleague, she was like a sister,  a true caring friend. She is always a positive light in my life. We spoke often about what was happening in our lives. She made it to many of my family celebrations and was there to support me during difficult times. My daughter, Myra, and I are so grateful Tia Brenda was able to attend her wedding celebration.
 I just want to say to her family, and her baby girl Isabel, that I am praying for God to help all of you through this difficult time.  Brenda is now  our Angel and still part of our lives  forever.   


I had the immense pleasure of working with Brenda when she was with the public health department over 20 years ago.  She was funny, caring, and loved to help families and babies in need in her role as a public health nurse.  We became friends and joined an extended group of friends that loved to host dinner parties and pretend we knew something about good wine.  I even went on my first European trip with her and had a wonderful time.   As years past, we connected periodically as our careers took a different path and our families took center stage.    Brenda made everyone’s life better, and I will remember her beautiful smile and fun-loving personality.   To her entire family, may you find strength knowing she was loved by so many. 

Always a smile on her face and up for fun and laughs. She is missed. 💐

I am so sorry to hear of Brenda’s passing - I had the pleasure of working with her with outpatient pediatric patients at VMC - she always had a kind word, a laugh and wonderful smile. My condolences to her family at this challenging time ❤️

Brenda te vamos a extrañar pero siempre vas a vivir en nuestros corazones, por la hermosa persona que eras amabas tu trabajo siempre Alegre, tu sonrisa siempre la voy a recordar. I worked with Brenda many years.  She always had a smile on her face.  She was a great nurse  and wondetful patient advocate.  She will be missed.  

I met Brenda when she was a public health nurse in the early 2000’s or maybe a little before. She used to come to all his patients appointments. She was on top of every need of those children and took the time to make sure that I was fully aware of them. She was a real patient advocate and she truly loved her patients. 

Few years after I met Brenda, the great gift to the Gastroenterology division was that Brenda became part of it  and,  not only was she my nurse, but she was also my tech and my friend. She had the dictum: Patient care is a priority. She was always available to all who need her; patients, doctors, nurses and staff. 

Brenda was very bright, superbly organized, resourceful, a whip, honest, assertive, and she always spoke her mind. She also had a sense of humor to no match. To the ones that knew her…. you know that Brenda’s smile and laugh will light a room. She was very beautiful outside and inside. 

Brenda found the love of her life in her husband, José, and soon after they married they were blessed with Isabel, la muñequita de su corazón. Her life was complete.

Brenda will be dearly miss by all who got to know her. May God give her family the strength to navigate through this tremendous loss.

I will always remember Brenda’s kindness and smiles. My condolences to her loving family.

When I transferred to Pediatrics, Brenda was one of the first people to welcome me to the department and - as I am Latina too - we often shared our family stories and commonalities. Her smile, warmth and friendly nature  are the first things that come to mind when I think of her. 

To her family, I wish you peace and healing; I know how profoundly she loved you all. Brenda was adored by her patients and coworkers and I am so grateful for her friendship.  Vaya con Dios, mi hermosa amiga.
