Betty K. Azar

Betty Azar was born on April 29, 1932 in Lebanon and died on August 17,

2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Betty lived for many years in San Jose, California. She worked briefly as a

nurse in a mental hospital in Santa Clara County. In the late 80’s, she

started to purchase residential and apartment units in the San Jose area

that made her a real estate investor and landlord. She and her son, Sam

managed the properties and made a living from rental income. In 2001, she

relocated to Las Vegas to enjoy the bright lights, the sounds of slot

machines and have a buffet dinner with new found Vegas friends.

Betty was a brave and strong willed woman as most of her friends

said..what Betty wants, she gets!

In late 2017 & early 2018, she decided to unload her real estate properties

except for one 4 unit apartment in San Jose which is occupied by low

income tenants, she has a soft heart for the less privileged. Betty donated a

large amount of money to St. Jude Children’s Research from the proceeds

of the real estate sales.

She is survived by her cousin, Wedad Murray and many friends in Las

Vegas and San Jose.

Betty has joined her only son, Sammy Ferris.

Betty K. AZAR, age 89, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. Betty was born April 29, 1932.

A visitation for Betty will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 PM at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 North Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95050. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 22555 Cristo Rey Dr, Los Altos, CA 95124.
