Ruth Mercado

Ruth, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully on January 6, 2024. Ruth is most remembered for her kindness, warmth, witty comments, and sparkly shoes, purses, and jewelry. Typically, you would find Ruth cozied up reading the newest Danielle Steel book. She was a sharp and strong-minded woman, a friend to all.

Ruth was born on December 1, 1935 in Lindsey California, raised in El Modena California, and settled in Anaheim, California with her husband Manuel.

She is survived by 2 of her 3 sons, John and Ralph, daughter in law, Danell Mercado and 3 of her 8 siblings, Marylou Azevedo, Virginia Navarro and Ralph Ruiz. She was a grandmother to 8, Goya, Moe, Gabriel, Elijah, Ginny, Gabriella, Matthew, and Caleb, and a great grandmother to 4, Mackenzie, Melia, Mylo, and Memphis.

A memorial service for Ruth will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Fairhaven Memorial Park Mortuary - Waverly Chapel, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA. Following the memorial service will be a graveside service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA.

A reception will follow that at Ebell of Santa Ana 718 Mortimer Street Santa Ana, CA 92701 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
